Just Cuts Invests in Action This International Women’s Day

This International Women’s Day, Just Cuts is focusing on action over words—investing in real support for those impacted by domestic and family violence.

In 2024 alone, 102 Australian women and 16 children lost their lives due to domestic violence. Behind these numbers are lives cut short, families devastated, and communities left searching for answers. While celebrating women’s achievements is important, Just Cuts also believes in using its platform to help those still facing hardship.

That’s why Just Cuts is donating to Lifeline, supporting its essential work in providing crisis assistance to those experiencing domestic and family violence as well as other challenges. This includes education programs that help small businesses, workers, and the public recognise, respond to, and refer cases of domestic and family violence including through its DV Alert service. Additionally, Lifeline offers MensLine Australia, a professional 24/7 counselling service for men struggling with mental health, family violence (both using and experiencing), anger management, addiction, and relationship stress.

Justice for Women’s Safety

JUSTICE Haircare, exclusively available at Just Cuts salons and online, is also proud to stand behind this initiative. As a brand committed to empowering individuals with confidence through salon-quality haircare at an affordable price, JUSTICE Haircare recognises that true empowerment extends beyond beauty—it’s about safety, support, and equality.

A best-seller flying off shelves every three minutes, JUSTICE Haircare provides performance-driven solutions for all hair types, ensuring professional results without the premium price tag. This International Women’s Day, JUSTICE Haircare and Just Cuts are united in advocating for real change, encouraging others to support organisations making a tangible impact in the lives of women and families in need.

David Mathie, Acting CEO of Just Cuts, explains the company’s approach:

“International Women’s Day is a time to recognise progress, but also to acknowledge that far too many women and children in Australia are still at risk. That’s why we want to invest in tangible action by supporting organisations like Lifeline that are making a real difference every day.”

“With 54% of Just Cuts franchise owners identifying as women and 95% of our 3,500 Stylists being female, Just Cuts is proud to have always championed gender equality. The company remains committed to pay parity, ensuring all Stylists receive equal wages across the levels of career progression regardless of gender.”

“Equality isn’t just about career opportunities or leadership roles—it’s also about safety, financial security, and access to support. This International Women’s Day, we stand with those who need help the most and encourage others to do the same.”
